Storyboarding

Storyboarding is a graphic organizer which features illustrations that are drawn of the still images you want in each shot, and notes about each shot. they are drawn in chronological order of the film.
So that when you come to filming your movie you have a clear idea of what shots to use, instead of just making it up on the day. It also allows an outsider to clearly understand the story.

Thriller opening sequence journal

At first we wanted to do the assasination of Barrack Obama for our Thriller opening sequence. We had brainstormed a great title for the movie - Renegade. Which was Obama's code name. We were planning to use a fellowe student Glen to play Obama and planned to shoot in the sudio recreating a press conference. But after talking to Luke and Matt we relized that this would be very hard to shoot and make it look realistic. So we eventually ditched the idea.
So we had to go back to the drawing baord. Eventually we came up with an idea of a story about a robotic wife who turns evil on her husband. We would start out with an advert for the robot with James playing a cheesey american presenter saying how fabulous she is. Then we zoom out to a man on a couch watching the advert and in the kitchen his very won robot wife is making dinner. Then there's a close up of her eyes and they turn red to show she's evil and then she picks up a knife and starts walking towards her husband. We thought the title should be "Stac1e". We've written the scrpit and are planning to shoot the advert behind a green screen in the studio and then in the hurtwood house kitchen.
Now we just have to find someone to play the robot and the husband.
